Rabid Habs

About Rabid Habs

Founded in May 2014 by André Leclerc, Rabid Habs Magazine is a site for Montreal Canadiens fans, by Montreal Canadiens fans. We’re the kind of people who say “we” when we’re talking about our team. We don’t pretend to have insider information, reporters on the beat, or exclusive access to anyone at all.

What we do have is a rabid and passionate devotion to the Habs. What we offer is wide-ranging Habs coverage that includes opinion, critical commentary, analysis, news and other information concerning all things Montreal Canadiens. Rabid Habs strives to be the best Montreal Canadiens fan site on the internet.

The Rabid Habs team consists of writers from a wide range of locations and disciplines who post regularly, and they are backed by a group of other occasional writers. Building an online community of Habs fans is what we aim for everyday.

We welcome a variety of opinions and writing styles to share these ideas with other Habs fans. If you would like to join our team, please contact us using the contact form, Twitter or our Facebook page. We would love to work with you.

The views of our writers are not necessarily shared between all those who contribute to our website. And that’s what makes it fun.

He relocated to The Six in 2010, at which point he founded The Montreal Bias podcast (formerly The Two-Four). A huge fan of the Montreal Expos growing up and an invested supporter of the Habs, Zach's fanaticism of the Canadiens grew exponentially with the departure of the 'Spos in 2004. Since then, he has been all about the Bleu, Blanc et Rouge and keeps the torch burning brightly deep behind enemy lines. He enjoys excellent music and good bourbon.

C. John Casselman
Contributor
Born and raised in the breast of rural Eastern Ontario, John developed a love and devotion for the Montreal Canadiens at a very early age. The excitement of the Adams division and a Stanley Cup in '86 laid the foundation, however it was a visit to the Forum with family that entrenched a lifelong love affair with the most storied franchise in hockey. John has since visited 21 NHL arenas and looks forward to seeing Montreal play in every venue in the NHL. Like many fans, hockey was deeply rooted in John's extended family and he takes special pleasure in such fond memories as time spent with grandparents in front of the stove as they watched the game on Saturday nights. Now, as the parents of two young boys, John and his wife continue to share their passion with the next generation of Habs fans. John became a full season ticket holder at the Bell Centre in 2005 and now shares tickets with a business partner as his availability has decreased with the expected arrival of a third son in April. John looks forward to connecting with all Habs fans via Twitter and welcomes the opportunity to talk hockey and Habs in a respectful manner.
