De La Rose signs one-year, one-way contract

The Montreal Canadiens have announced that they have signed Jacob De La Rose to a new contract.

According to the team release, De La Rose’s contract is one-way, meaning he will be paid the same salary in the NHL and the AHL.

CapFriendly.com reports that the contract will pay De La Rose $750,000 over the course of the year.

De La Rose, 22, was selected by the Canadiens in the 2nd round, 34th overall, by the Habs in 2013. In 64 NHL games, he has scored seven points. Last year with St. John’s, De La Rose scored 31 points in 62 games.
