The children at the Montreal Canadiens Hockey School in Brossard got a pleasant surprise today as Alex Galchenyuk showed up to greet and hit the ice with the kids.

In a series of tweets from the Habs Twitter account, Galchenyuk is shown making some new friends this morning:

It wasn’t too long ago that some of the Habs roster came out to have fun with the students, as Tomas Plekanec and Jeff Petry (as well as Lars Eller, Zach Kassian, and Andrei Markov) took the time to take group photos and hit the ice at the Bell Sports Complex on July 14. Prospects Nikita Scherbak and Jeremy Grégoire and former Habs players came around to the hockey school as well, including Francis Bouillon, Gaston Gingras, Stefan Fournier, and Mathieu Darche:

Currently, talks between Marc Bergevin and number 27’s agent, Pat Brisson, have come to a stand still. While Brisson explained that all parties involved will resume talks eventually, as of right now, things are at a dead end. However, “AGally” showing up in Brossard can be considered a good sign, as he seemed in high spirits.
