Rabid Habs

PreGame Preview: Habs Vs Oilers

Edmonton Oilers

After a successful home stretch, the Habs begin their Western Canada roadtrip tonight when they visit the Edmonton Oilers.

The Canadiens sit atop the Eastern Conference, having won their last four games – all at the Bell Centre.

Michel Therrien’s team holds an impressive 7-1 record with their only loss coming at the hands of the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Oilers have picked up the pace. After losing their first five games, Edmonton has won their last three meetings.

Ben Scrivens should be the starting goaltender for the Oilers since Viktor Fasth is still recovering from an injury.

The Canadiens recalled forward Michaël Bournival and defenseman Nathan Beaulieu from the Hamilton Bulldogs on Sunday. Both players have played two games with the Bulldogs during the weekend.

Taylor Hall leads the Oilers with seven points, including four goals. For the Habs, Tomas Plekanec is the leading scorer with nine points (5 goals, 4 assists).
