Red Wings vs Habs – Game Recap

Red Wings

Great teams find ways to win. This season, the Montreal Canadiens meet this criteria. The Habs defeated the Detroit Red Wings 2-1 in overtime Tuesday at the Bell Centre.

Again, the Habs showed their composure and character by making another comeback. After 56 minutes, the Wings led 1-0.

Alex Galchenyuk forced overtime by scoring late in the third period. The American had another solid performance.

With only 56 seconds into overtime, David Desharnais scored from the side of the net after shots from Max Pacioretty and P.K. Subban couldn’t get through Jimmy Howard. It was Desharnais’ first goal of the season.

As usual in this season, the Canadiens found another way to bounce back.
